Special thanks to our great partners:

The Tennessee Department of Transportation and its Beautification Division provided $100,000 in grant funding for Pickin' Up Tennessee—by far the largest grant in our history. Just as important, TDOT provided guidance, encouragement and practical assistance with everything from scheduling cleanups to choosing liability insurance.

Tennessee's Division of State Parks, a division of the Department of Environment and Conservation and almost certainly the most beloved agency in all of Tennessee state government, was an awesome partner to Pickin' Up Tennessee. In addition to providing two campsites in a different state park each night (the kind with water and electrical hookups!), State Parks also provided some of the tour's most iconic performance stages, from the historic schoolhouse in Fall Creek Falls State Park, to the replica Revolutionary War Fort at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area, to the porch of the 19th-century Miller Homestead on the side of Roan Mountain.

Pickin' Up Tennessee is a special educational project of Scenic Tennessee, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1987 to protect and enhance Tennessee's scenic resources. Scenic Tennessee provided the required 20-percent match to TDOT funding by providing the volunteer labor of its president, project coordinator Marge Davis. Visit us at www.scenictennessee.org.
